The emergency pressure relief hatch is provided in accordance with IGC code, 8.1, “Hold spaces, interbarrier spaces and cargo piping which may be subject to pressures beyond their design capabilities should also be provided with a suitable pressure relief system.”, 8.2.2, “Interbarrier spaces should be provided with pressure relief devices complying with recognized standards.”.
According to IGC code and sizing by IACS Unified Interpretation GC9, the emergency pressure relief hatch of model KSRH is designed, manufactured, tested and approved by valid organization.
